Singlish.lk (“we”, “our”, “us”) is operated by KDJ Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our website at singlish.lk and the Singlish Offline Pro Windows application.

By using our services you agree to this policy.

Account information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and optional phone number.

Payment details: We collect the bank transfer reference you submit with your order. We do not store card numbers — payments are made via direct bank transfer.

Usage data: We may collect anonymised analytics (page views, feature usage) to improve the product. No personally identifiable information is included.

Singlish Offline Pro: The desktop app runs entirely on your device. Your keystrokes are never transmitted to our servers. All processing is local.

• To provide customer support when you contact us
• To improve our products and fix bugs

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Your account data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted on infrastructure that complies with industry security standards. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit (TLS).

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by emailing hello@kdj.lk.

We use essential session cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser, but some parts of the site may not function correctly.

Each of these services has their own privacy policy. We are not responsible for their practices.

Our services are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.

Sinhala Typing converts phonetic typing to Sinhala locally in the browser and optionally provides voice-to-text.

Text entered into editable fields is processed locally for transliteration and is not collected, stored, or transmitted by the extension. The extension stores feature preferences and, only if provided by the user, a Hugging Face access token in Chrome extension storage on the user's device.

Remote code: No.

Voice typing is off by default. Before enabling it, the extension discloses that microphone audio is sent to the selected speech provider and requires the user to turn the feature on.

• Google Web Speech— audio is processed by Google's speech-recognition service.
• Hugging Face Whisper— recorded audio and the user's Hugging Face token are transmitted securely to Hugging Face solely to return a transcript.

The developer does not receive or store that audio, token, or transcript.

The developer does not sell user data, use it for advertising, or share it with data brokers. Audio is shared only with the speech provider selected by the user to provide voice transcription.

• storage — saves feature settings and an optional Hugging Face token locally.
• Host access (<all_urls>) — provides typing controls in editable fields on sites where the user chooses to type.
• router.huggingface.co — sends microphone audio for transcription only when the user selects Hugging Face Whisper and enables Voice Typing.

Transmissions use HTTPS. Voice typing can be disabled at any time. Stored settings and the optional token can be removed by uninstalling the extension or clearing the extension's stored data. Third-party processing is also governed by the selected provider's privacy terms.

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
