zx...zx — Preserving English Words In Singlish
Use zx...zx wrappers to preserve English words, names, and phrases from being converted to Sinhala.
Why zx...zx?
When using Global Singlish mode (or the typing tool), every English letter gets converted to Sinhala. But sometimes you need to type an English word, name, or URL in the middle of Sinhala text.
Wrapping text in zx...zx tells the engine: "pass this through unchanged."
How To Use
Type zx before and after the English text: zxYour English textzx
Example: "zxHello zx" + "mama" → "Hello මම"
Example with full name: "zxKDJ Lanka zx" + "samagiya" → "KDJ Lanka සමගිය"
The zx markers are stripped from the final output — only the wrapped English text remains.
When To Use zx...zx
Brand names: zxSinglish.lkzx
Email addresses: zxuser@example.comzx
URLs: zxhttps://singlish.lkzx
Non-Sinhala names: zxJohn Smithzx
Technical terms: zxAPI keyzx, zxfunction()zx
Any text that should remain in Latin script.
